When it comes to safety that is our biggest worry and priority, and we believe creating guidelines and standard operating procedures that we train by allow us to create a safe, and fun rental company who can focus on ensuring always the safety of our equipment, our staff, our customers, and the general public when using our rental items. We take your trust and balance it by watching our industry loss-runs, balancing operations with safety, and sometimes that means not adding a popular rental service, because it simply is not safe. FunJumps is dedicated to safety above anything else.
ASTM Safety Protocols & Industry Standards
At Acadiana FunJumps, we follow rigorous safety guidelines as outlined by ASTM International (formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials). All of our inflatable units comply with ASTM F2374, the industry standard for inflatable amusement devices. This includes:
- Proper anchoring methods: stakes, tethers, sandbags, etc
- Daily inspection protocols
- Wind Safety guidelines
- Emergency safety and evaluation plans
Staff Training & Certification
Our delivery and setup teams are trained in both OSHA-compiant safety procedures and internal protocols developed from over 20 years in the event rental industry. Each member completes hands-on safety workshops including:
- Proper equipment setup and takedown.
- Electrical and extension cord safety
- Customer safety briefing
- First Aid (select staff)
Weather and Emergency Policy
We take weather seriously. Our rentals must be shut down if:
- Winds exceed 15-20 mph.
- There is visible lightning within a 10-miles radius
- Rain persists to a point that it is bringing wind with it - we sould ask you to consult the office
- Our team will always supply instructions for safe evaluaction and deflation in case of a weather event. We also offer flexible scheduling du to inclement weather.
